Visit the museum at Brimstone Hill and learn more about the military contribution of Kittitians in the World Wars,  

Visit and look for the posters  that were designed to recruit in the British colonies.  How effective do you think they were?

How did the posters. in general,  attempt to recruit men for the armed forces?

Look in the photograph section of this web site and find out what animals were involved in the WW1.

Go to and find out where the USA and the United Kingdom had bases in the Caribbean during the WW2.  What were they trying to protect?

the adventure of Sgt. J. E. Alves described in the Bulletin of the 25th Nov 1943 is just one of many heroic and not so heroic incidents that occurred during WW2.  Visit the National Archives and search the newspaper collection for more war stories.

Look through the newspapers at the National Archives to find out what affect WW2 had on St. Kitts and the Caribbean.

Visit and  to find out about the contribution of the Caribbean in WW2.  Do you know of anyone who was in the armed forces in that war?  Write down what information you can collect on their experience.

Kittitians have been involved in the war in Iraq and Afghanistan in recent years.  Find out about their reasons for enlisting.
