Basil Henderson was a great organizer.  He tried to find ways of helping his country and the various communities around St. Kitts.  What would you like to do for your community and/or your country?

What is the 4H club? Is it active in your community?  If not find out about the 4H organization at www.4-H.org  Could such an organization benefit your community?

Name the football teams of Basseterre.  Which football team originated in your community?  Talk to one of the veterans of the team and find out how it got started.

What youth organizations are active in your community?  Find out about its activities.

If you were to start a youth group in your community what would its aims be?

Go  to the National Archives and ask to see the newspapers of 1957.  Write a short report on the first Carnival. (Teachers should send the best reports to the National Archives for inclusion in the www.historicbasseterre.com  scrapbook.)
